Although there aren’t many great paddleboards for fishing on the market, BKC implemented the knowledge they have with kayaks into paddleboards, and it came out great!
The BKC SUPYN is a cross between a standard stand-up paddleboard and a sit-on-top kayak. Like all of their kayaks, the paddleboard is also made of highly durable HDPE plastic, which is most commonly found in these types of boards.
On the front of the paddleboard, there’s a handle that helps carry it on land. This handle also serves as a paddle park, which you can securely place your paddle in while you are fishing.
Both ends of the board also have bungee tie-down straps to secure your equipment from falling in the water. Do consider that they are quite small, and you are very limited with what you can bring. There isn’t space to bring a full-sized cooler, but it’s big enough to hold a tackle box or a drybag.
In the middle of the paddleboard is a removable seat. You can’t adjust the seat too much, but a plus side is that the seat is quite comfortable.
Right in front of the seat are two rod holders, one on each side. They will keep the lines trolling, without having to hold them hands-on. And once you are done fishing, you can leave the rods in them and use them to secure them while paddling.
The maximum weight capacity is 330lbs, plenty for the average person.
SUP’s are fun and exciting, combining both kayaking and paddle boards into one.
